About the Role

You will design and implement physical data-center network infrastructure, including fiber plants, transceivers, structured cabling, cross-connect schedules, and loss-budget models. You will coordinate with construction disciplines, maintain technical specifications, and integrate physical network records with DCIM tools.

Requirements

• Experience designing hyperscale or cloud-provider data-center networks.
• Expertise in structured cabling systems and MPO/MTP ecosystems.
• Deep knowledge of optical standards and transceiver technologies.
• Knowledge of fiber loss budgets, dispersion, and fiber testing methodologies.
• Experience integrating designs with DCIM tools.

Responsibilities

• Own physical data-center network implementation, including fiber plants, transceiver planning, and structured cabling.
• Collaborate with construction disciplines on power, cooling, pathways, cabinets, racks, and construction drawings.
• Translate logical port maps into physical cross-connect and patching schedules.
• Define cabling hierarchy and model fiber utilization across hardware generations.
• Select and validate optics and maintain link loss-budget models.
• Own ICT design documents, operating procedures, master specifications, and DCIM integration.
