About the Role
You will conduct fundamental research on companies, industries, earnings, corporate events, and market-moving news. You will develop and defend long/short, volatility, and event-driven trade ideas; build research models and tools; develop industry contacts; and translate fundamental views into options positions.
Requirements
- 4+ years of fundamental equity research experience
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related or equivalent field
- Valuation and financial modeling skills
- Strong command of Excel
- Passion for investing and taking risk
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Ability to react quickly and accurately to changing market conditions
- Ability to solve math and coding problems quickly and accurately
Responsibilities
- Conduct fundamental research on companies, industries, and corporate events
- Track earnings, guidance, corporate actions, and market-moving news
- Analyze event plays for timing, positioning, price, and volatility implications
- Pitch and defend long/short, volatility, and event-driven trade ideas
- Build research models, spreadsheets, and tooling using AI and data infrastructure
- Build relationships with sell-side analysts, expert networks, and industry contacts
- Develop an understanding of expressing fundamental views through options
