About the Role
You will develop, review, and manage software safety work products for autonomous vehicles. You will specify safety requirements, assess designs and verification evidence, perform safety analyses, support hardware-software interfaces, and collaborate on ISO 26262 compliance assessments.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in a related engineering discipline, or a bachelor's degree with professional high-tech experience
- Experience with functional safety assessment and applying ISO 26262
- Experience with ISO 26262 Parts 4, 6, 8, and 9
- Experience with vehicle system- and software-level verification and validation
- Knowledge of software configuration management and software quality assurance
- Ability to prepare safety arguments and drive evidence development
Responsibilities
- Facilitate completion of software safety work products
- Participate in specifying software safety requirements
- Review software safety architectural, unit-design, and implementation work
- Develop or review software test plans, procedures, and verification reports
- Support system-level testing from a software-safety perspective
- Perform software safety analyses
- Support hardware-software interface development and derive safety measures
- Review and assess work products for ISO 26262 compliance
