August (previously, Fractal) is building web3 infrastructure allowing all on-chain financial assets to interact with and collateralize against each other via a universal margin account – starting with existing crypto assets and expanding to real world assets. Our goal is to make On-Chain Finance as capital efficient as CeFi. August is an institutional-grade platform — all of our borrowers go through KYC/KYB. August enables capital efficiency for institutions that are currently deployed on-chain, while also giving institutions that cannot interact with DeFi directly a way to do so by bringing bilateral agreements on-chain. In doing so, capital-efficiency is unlocked, and transparency is improved, while maintaining institutional-grade compliance. August supports institutional clients by improving cost of capital, access to credit, and transparency of risk and reserves. The platform supports DeFi protocols, OTC bilateral agreements, and Spot trading with on-chain order execution algorithms. It also provides an institutional-grade platform for crypto, offering secure and capital-efficient access to spot, derivative, and DeFi trading. Users can swap, stake, provide liquidity, and access OTC products across multiple blockchain networks all in one platform. The platform also features automated loan lifecycle and risk management software to scale lending operations with real-time counterparty exposure monitoring and automated liquidations. Additionally, it offers institutional-grade reporting and real-time position analytics with standardized reporting, proof of reserve, and on-chain auditability.

About the Role
You will architect and implement sophisticated frontend components using TypeScript and React, interface directly with smart contracts and wallet providers, collaborate with backend engineers and researchers, write clean maintainable code, build and maintain automated testing frameworks, and participate in CI/CD to deliver reliable on-chain finance features.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in frontend software development with a strong focus on TypeScript and React
- Proven experience building applications that interact directly with smart contracts; experience with WalletConnect SDK is a plus
- Familiarity with modern frontend development tools and practices including responsive design and cross-browser compatibility
- Experience with automated testing frameworks and continuous integration/deployment processes
- Knowledge of blockchain, digital assets, and traditional finance systems is a plus
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities
