About the Role

You will work with researchers to understand their data workflows and turn those needs into technical direction. You will design platform components, own core datasets and their pipelines, schemas, documentation, and guarantees, lead multi-quarter projects, and remain hands-on with code, design reviews, and mentorship.

• Technical-direction or data-platform architecture experience
• User discovery and adoption measurement
• Stable-interface and trustworthy-data design
• Influence-based leadership
• Machine-learning research fundamentals
• Large-scale ETL
• Columnar or analytical storage
• Metrics or experiment-tracking systems
• Time-series data
• Dataset management, cataloging, or lineage tooling
• Developer tooling or internal data-platform experience
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education, training, or experience

Responsibilities

• Work with researchers and supporting engineers to understand workflows and identify high-leverage opportunities
• Set technical direction for platform components and datasets
• Design and build data-platform libraries, services, and interfaces
• Own core datasets, including their pipelines, schemas, documentation, and guarantees
• Drive adoption of canonical datasets and the core data model for RL transcripts
• Lead complex multi-quarter projects across systems and teams
• Raise the technical bar through design reviews, mentorship, and hands-on work
