About the Role
You will lead Backend, Mobile, and Web engineers and partner with Product Management to deliver global in-person acquiring products. You will set technical direction, oversee reliable production systems, guide vendor and hardware integrations, lead payment-platform transformations, and scale localized payment networks across markets.
Requirements
- Direct experience managing, coaching, and developing cross-functional Backend, Mobile, and Web engineering teams
- Expertise in at least one core engineering domain or platform
- Experience building robust applications, server-side systems, mobile deployment architecture, and scalable systems
- Experience with scalable, reliable cloud-native solutions, microservices, RESTful APIs, and event-driven systems
- Experience integrating complex third-party vendors, hardware providers, and external payment networks
- Experience owning technical solutions throughout their lifecycle
- Ability to communicate technical concepts to stakeholders
- FinTech experience in acquiring, in-person payments, ePOS systems, or payment gateway integrations is highly desirable
Responsibilities
- Lead a cross-functional team of Backend, Mobile, and Web engineers
- Own the technical direction and end-to-end delivery of in-person acquiring products
- Oversee reliable live ePOS, Tap to Pay, mobile application, and pricing-engine systems
- Lead architectural strategy for third-party vendor integrations and hardware partnerships
- Drive platform transformation initiatives and scale localized payment networks
- Guide architecture decisions and translate product strategy into reliable platform solutions
- Champion engineering practices across development, testing, deployment, and monitoring
