About the Role
You will design and execute validation for AUTOSAR software stacks and automotive communication protocols. You will build HIL and SIL test environments, create automated Python tests, inject faults, investigate failures, work with development teams to resolve issues, and document traceable validation evidence.
Requirements
- 3+ years of embedded software validation, firmware test, or software-engineer-in-test experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
- Working knowledge of AUTOSAR architecture and validation methodologies
- Hands-on experience testing an automotive communication protocol
- Working knowledge of Python or a similar scripting language and ability to read embedded C
- Familiarity with HIL and SIL testing and the Linux command line
- Understanding of test-case design, defect lifecycle, and regression testing
Responsibilities
- Design and execute validation strategies for AUTOSAR Classic and Adaptive stacks
- Validate automotive communication protocols end to end
- Verify operating-system safety, diagnostics, security, and functional-safety features
- Perform functional, robustness, timing, negative, and fault-injection testing
- Execute tests on HIL benches, SIL environments, simulations, and target hardware
- Develop automated Python pytest frameworks for regression and nightly validation
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines
- Debug software, communication-stack, and hardware failures
- Collaborate with firmware and functional-safety teams to resolve issues
- Author traceable test cases and validation documentation
