About the Role
You will develop C and C++ software for X-BAT aircraft, lead cross-functional software feature development, and own capabilities from design through production. You will integrate avionics interfaces and software components, support architecture and design reviews, build test and deployment tools, create prototypes, and report progress and risks to senior leadership.
Requirements
- Embedded software development experience in C and C++
- Knowledge of object-oriented programming and modern C++
- Knowledge of embedded software, BSPs, or systems software components
- Understanding of computer architecture, operating systems, and network protocols
- Experience producing technical documentation including architectures, designs, and test plans
- Bachelor's, master's, or PhD degree in a STEM discipline
- Ability to obtain an S/SAR security clearance is desired
Responsibilities
- Develop high-quality C and C++ code for X-BAT aircraft
- Lead cross-functional development of robotic avionics software features
- Own software capabilities from design through production
- Participate in architecture, design, and code reviews
- Integrate firmware, test, autonomy, and ground-control software
- Develop interfaces for avionics sensors, subsystems, and payloads
- Design test systems for virtualized hardware and hardware-in-the-loop simulations
- Develop tools for continuous integration, deployment, testing, and data analysis
- Create prototypes to validate design concepts and technical limitations
