About the Role
You will design spacecraft avionics, including schematics and PCB layouts for power, control, and signal boards. You will build wiring harnesses, integrate electrical subsystems, bring up and debug hardware, and run power, signal-integrity, functional, and environmental tests. You will document designs and tests, set up lab equipment, support hardware-in-the-loop testing, and assist with spacecraft integration and anomaly resolution.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field
- Foundation in circuit design, analysis, and electronics
- Experience with schematic capture and PCB layout tools
- Comfort with oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, and DMMs
- Exposure to Python, C, or C++
- Physical presence at the Ottawa facility
Responsibilities
- Design spacecraft avionics, including schematic capture and PCB layout for power, control, and signal boards
- Design and build wiring harnesses and manage electrical integration across subsystems
- Bring up, test, and debug electronic boards and subsystems
- Develop and run power, signal-integrity, functional, and environmental electrical tests
- Design power systems and support EPS architecture
- Own schematics, ICDs, test procedures, and reports for design reviews
- Set up lab instrumentation and test equipment and support hardware-in-the-loop testing
- Support spacecraft integration, environmental testing, and anomaly resolution
Benefits
- Equity of 0.1% to 0.5%
