About the Role

You will oversee a slate of WEBTOON Original series from pitch through launch and ongoing production. You will provide editorial direction on pacing, hooks, cliffhangers, story structure, character arcs, and audience retention. You will collaborate with creators, review pitches, use performance data to inform editorial strategy, source promising stories, and coordinate with Content Strategy, Marketing, GM, and Content Ops.

Requirements

• 3+ years of editorial experience in webcomics or similar digital narrative formats.
• Understanding of vertical-scroll storytelling, pacing, and audience behavior.
• Ability to guide creators and deliver high-quality editorial feedback.
• Communication, project management, and organizational skills.
• Ability to interpret performance data and incorporate insights into editorial strategy.
• Knowledge of WEBTOON, manga, manhwa, genre fiction, and digital storytelling.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage WEBTOON Original series from pitch to launch and ongoing production.
• Provide editorial direction on pacing, hooks, cliffhangers, story structure, character arcs, and audience retention.
• Develop and maintain editorial best-practice frameworks using platform data, audience insights, and emerging trends.
• Identify content risks and propose solutions to maximize title performance.
• Provide creators with actionable editorial feedback.
• Support creators with production systems, buffer management, workflow planning, and pacing strategy.
• Source diverse and commercially promising stories.
• Review pitches using creative judgment and data-informed analysis.
• Partner with Content Strategy to identify content gaps, explore genres, and evaluate flagship-title opportunities.
• Align editorial decisions with platform and corporate goals.
• Collaborate with Content Strategy, Marketing, GM, and Content Ops on strategy, launch planning, growth opportunities, hiatus planning, and creator care.
