About the Role
You will research, design, and implement algorithms for task allocation, scheduling, and temporal sequencing across autonomous vehicle teams. Improve C++ mission-planning software, define future autonomy roadmaps and SDK offerings, and develop plans and simulations for complex multi-agent missions.
Requirements
- PhD with graduate work in Optimization or Operations Research, or a Master’s degree with 4+ years of work in the same areas
- Expertise in integer or mixed-integer linear programming, constraint programming, convex optimization, and multi-objective optimization
- Experience using solvers such as Gurobi, Google-OR, or CPLEX
- Significant experience implementing algorithms in C++
- Experience using gdb to troubleshoot execution in a multi-threaded environment
Responsibilities
- Research, design, and implement algorithms for task allocation, scheduling, and temporal sequencing of autonomous vehicle teams
- Improve C++ mission-planning software across vehicle types and compute platforms
- Define a technical roadmap for autonomy solutions and SDK offerings
- Break down missions into assignable tasks based on agent capabilities
- Construct feasible and optimal action plans for distributed autonomous vehicle teams
- Develop full software and hardware-in-the-loop simulations of complex multi-agent missions
