About the Role
You will ensure continuous 24x7 operation and security of critical datacenter infrastructure. You will perform routine and preventive maintenance, repairs, construction, and refurbishment tasks; monitor mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, safety, and waste systems; track and close work orders; operate material-handling equipment; perform basic network troubleshooting; lift and move equipment; and communicate with staff and vendors.
Requirements
- Technical degree in information technology or equivalent certifications and experience
- 1+ years of experience in a critical infrastructure environment
- Experience working in a 24x7 operating environment
- Experience with electrical troubleshooting, HVAC, plumbing, construction, security, and fire protection preferred
- Experience with IT infrastructure maintenance desired
Responsibilities
- Maintain and repair datacenter facilities and equipment
- Perform construction, refurbishment, and repair operations
- Implement and follow policies and procedures to ensure facility functioning
- Monitor daily operations of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, safety, and waste systems
- Track and manage work orders for quality and adherence to standards
- Obtain and maintain certifications to operate equipment such as forklifts and personal lifts
- Communicate effectively with interdepartmental staff
- Coordinate with third-party partners and vendors
- Protect sensitive and confidential information
- Use ladders, power tools, and hand tools as required
- Use internal software to track, record, diagnose, and operate hardware
- Perform basic network troubleshooting, management, and installation
- Lift and move equipment up to 55 pounds
- Operate electrical breakers up to 480V
- Perform other duties as assigned
