About the Role
You will play a pivotal role in growing an experimentation function within the Sportsbook Commercial team focused on retention and loyalty. Reporting to the Experimentation Manager, you will help accelerate the speed of learning while maintaining standardization of processes across teams. You will partner with retention marketing stakeholders and be responsible for designing and analyzing experiments that help answer key questions and drive promotional strategy. You will have the opportunity to work cross-functionally, aligning with commercial stakeholders, generosity data science, marketing technology and machine learning engineering to pursue a best-in-class personalization strategy. You will also have the opportunity to be involved in key strategic initiatives that support FanDuel's overall growth.
Requirements
- Minimum of 1+ years of experience in a data science or analytics role
- Bachelor's degree in quantitative field (Math, Statistics, Economics, Engineering) is preferred; Master's degree a plus
- Experience with experimental design, A/B/n testing, and use of statistical analysis
- Experience with analysis or experimentation of personalization efforts is a plus
- Advanced SQL skills required
- Experience with statistical programming tools such as Python, R or SAS preferred
- Strong problem-solving skills, with ability to work through ambiguity and deliver solutions to business problems
- Commercial acumen: understanding of P&L, business principles and commercial levers
- Presents clearly and with impact to a wide range of stakeholders
Responsibilities
- Partner with commercial marketing teams to design and analyze experiments related to personalization efforts, including audience optimization, generosity mechanics and generosity delivery
- Compile results and present insights and recommendations to marketing leadership
- Continue the advancement of a cross-functional experimentation program
- Be a thought leader in identifying and evaluating tools and capabilities to advance the practice, including opportunities for automation
- Introduce advanced statistical techniques to support data analysis and insight generation
- Drive culture of experimentation throughout the Sportsbook business through initiatives to educate the organization on experimentation best practices
