About the Role
You will design, build, and operate reliable, secure, observable data pipelines for batch and event-driven workloads. You will use AWS-native services, Airflow, Python, and SQL to ingest, transform, orchestrate, validate, and monitor data. You will also document data products, contribute to CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code practices, and improve resilience through reviews and incident analysis.
Requirements
- Experience building production data pipelines as a Data Engineer, Analytics Engineer, or similar role
- Hands-on experience with AWS-native data services in a regulated or enterprise environment
- Proficiency in Python and SQL
- Experience with workflow orchestration such as Airflow
- Understanding of data modeling, incremental processing, and performance optimization
- Familiarity with data quality, monitoring, and operational support for production data systems
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional partners
- Documentation, change management, and incident response skills
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain AWS-native data pipelines for batch and event-driven workloads
- Develop and operate data workflows using Apache Airflow, Python, and SQL
- Implement tested data transformations, models, and incremental processing
- Integrate enterprise, cloud, API, security, and operational data sources
- Translate business and control requirements into durable data solutions
- Embed data quality, lineage, and observability into pipelines
- Apply cloud security and governance standards, including IAM, encryption, logging, and secrets management
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code patterns, and platform tooling
- Document data products, pipelines, and operating procedures
- Participate in design reviews, code reviews, and incident analysis
