Data Engineer - Analytics and GTM

About the Role

You will own and build the analytics infrastructure that powers growth. You will architect and maintain ingestion and transformation pipelines for on-chain events, product telemetry, and third-party marketing/CRM data. You will design and maintain core data models (user journeys, cohorts, attribution, funnels, LTV) and dashboards for GTM metrics. You will develop frameworks to analyse wallet behaviour and enrich on-chain data with off-chain context. You will enable experimentation by ensuring clean event tracking and statistical rigour. You will productionise pipelines and models with CI/CD, automated tests, data quality checks, and documentation.

Requirements

  • Strong experience in Python and relevant libraries for production pipelines (pandas, polars, dbt)
  • Strong SQL and experience designing analytics tables and views for event and behavioural data
  • Hands-on experience with core AWS tooling such as S3, Athena, Glue, Redshift, Lambda, and Step Functions
  • Proven ability to build dashboards and self-serve reporting layers in Metabase, Looker, Preset, or Tableau
  • Experience turning ad-hoc analysis into tested, versioned pipelines with CI/CD and reproducible environments
  • Experience with GTM analytics including attribution modelling, funnel analysis, cohort and retention analysis (preferred)
  • Familiarity with crypto/DeFi data, on-chain event streams, and blockchain indexing tools such as Subgraphs/The Graph or Dune (preferred)
  • Experience with orchestration and data quality tooling (Airflow, Prefect, Dagster, dbt, Great Expectations) and building reliable data contracts (preferred)
  • Exposure to product analytics tooling such as Amplitude, Mixpanel, or Segment and event taxonomy design (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Architect and maintain ingestion and transformation pipelines for on-chain events, product telemetry, and third-party marketing and CRM data using AWS services
  • Build and own core analytics data models including user journeys, cohort analysis, attribution, funnel metrics, and LTV
  • Design and maintain dashboards and reporting (Metabase, Looker, or similar) surfacing acquisition, activation, trading behaviour, retention, and campaign performance
  • Develop frameworks to analyse on-chain wallet behaviour and enrich with off-chain context such as referrals, campaigns, and geography
  • Support experimentation by building data foundations for A/B testing and growth experiments with clean event tracking and statistical rigour
  • Productionise pipelines and models into reliable jobs and services with CI/CD, automated tests, data quality checks, and documentation
