About the Role

As a Data Center Technician I, you will work with state-of-the-art computing and networking equipment to ensure high uptime and perform basic maintenance and repair on miners. You will learn the landscape of network technologies, adapt to change, and remain current on developing technologies. An analytical mindset will be essential for effective troubleshooting and diagnosing on the miners to ensure optimal uptime and turnaround times. Under supervision, you will perform a variety of routine maintenance to keep the facility available and clean. You will operate a variety of maintenance and cleaning tools and equipment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1-3+ years’ experience in IT/computer hardware, systems/electrical engineering, network administration, and/or troubleshooting
• Bitcoin mining farm experience is a plus
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus
• A basic understanding of IP addressing and subnets and an understanding of small electronics or medium to low voltage electrical
• Must demonstrate the ability to be a problem solver, diligent, hard worker, team player, and demonstrate flexibility
• The individual must have the ability to be on your feet 7+ hours per day
• Ability to lift/carry 30-50 lbs
• Tolerance to Harsh Conditions - our working environment is both indoors and outdoors and includes cold rooms with excess wind speed and hot rooms. You also don’t mind getting dirty
• Must pass a motor vehicle check
• Must have own reliable transportation to get to and from the designated work site location

Responsibilities

• Perform general facility duties as assigned
• Understand the site's operations and infrastructure
• Diagnose and repair miners
• Demonstrate introductory mechanical skills
• Use miner tools
• Perform basic repairs
• Analyze data to support maintenance decisions
• Flash firmware on devices
• Complete projects as directed by supervisor or operations manager
• Perform other duties as assigned
