About the Role
You will shape and operationalise the global Data & AI Governance framework, ensuring data and AI are trusted, compliant, and leveraged responsibly across underwriting, claims, finance, and beyond. You will design the enterprise data governance operating model, chair governance committees, influence senior stakeholders, and establish policies covering data classification, quality, retention, and access. You'll build AI governance aligned with major regulations, oversee model risk management and AI lifecycle governance, and partner with architecture, cybersecurity, and business teams to embed governance-by-design while enabling self-service data and AI across domains.
Requirements
- 10+ years in data governance, risk, or data leadership roles
- Strong experience within insurance, reinsurance, or financial services
- Deep knowledge of GDPR, AI governance, and model risk frameworks
- Experience with governance tooling (e.g., Collibra, Purview, Erwin)
- Strong understanding of AWS-based data ecosystems
- Proven ability to influence across technical and business stakeholders
Responsibilities
- Design and lead the enterprise Data Governance operating model
- Chair Data & AI Governance Committees and influence senior stakeholders
- Establish policies across data classification, quality, retention, and access
- Build and implement AI governance aligned to EU AI Act, GDPR, and global regulations
- Oversee model risk management, AI lifecycle governance, and third-party AI usage
- Drive data quality, metadata management, and lineage transparency
- Partner with architecture, cybersecurity, and business teams to embed governance-by-design
- Enable self service data and AI across domains
