About the Role
You implement cybersecurity best practices to protect data and systems from malicious attacks and support regulatory compliance. You develop security plans and architectures, establish standards, review security protocols, configure firewalls and security software, identify vulnerabilities, conduct audits and risk assessments, monitor networks, respond to breaches, secure data, and maintain security infrastructure.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years' experience as a Cybersecurity Engineer
- Hands-on ability to implement security technical solutions
- Security certification such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or AWS Security Specialty preferred
- In-depth knowledge of network, application, and database security
- In-depth knowledge of establishing security baselines for IT systems
- Knowledge and experience in risk assessment
- Knowledge of AWS security
- Hands-on experience with SIEM/XDR platforms such as Wazuh or CrowdStrike
- Experience with WAF/CDN security such as Cloudflare
- Experience with vulnerability scanning tools
- Familiarity with ISO 27001 and financial regulatory requirements including Labuan FSA
- Proficiency with AI-assisted coding tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or GitHub Copilot
Responsibilities
- Research and develop information security plans, policies, and system security architectures
- Establish security standards and best practices for the organization
- Review and implement security protocols, firewall configurations, and security software
- Develop practical and budget-friendly cybersecurity solutions
- Analyze security systems, identify vulnerabilities, and create mitigation action plans
- Perform audits and risk assessments to uncover vulnerabilities and close them
- Use network monitoring tools to identify irregularities and detect potential security breaches
- Respond to security breaches and provide detailed reports for management review
- Plan and develop systems to secure data from threats through encryption and access monitoring
- Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to configure and maintain security infrastructure
- Provide cybersecurity guidance across the organization
