About the Role
A 10-week software engineering internship in Jump Trading's Core Development team, focused on distributed, high-performance trading systems. Interns sharpen C++ and Python skills, work on production-targeted projects, follow Agile development and release processes, and receive coaching from an experienced mentor.
Requirements
- Experience with C++ programming on Linux
- Experience with Linux command line
- Experience with Git and version control
- Experience with Python programming on Linux
- Strong understanding of data structures and threading models
- Ability to work with a team in a fast-paced environment
- Passion for solving complex problems
- Interest in hardware, networking, and operating systems
- Reliable and predictable availability
Responsibilities
- Design, code, test, and maintain a distributed trading system
- Work on production-targeted software projects
- Follow full-cycle development, testing, and release processes using Agile methodologies
- Apply C++ and Python programming skills
- Solve complex problems using high-performance software solutions
