About the Role
You will design, implement, and maintain C++ components for robot platform infrastructure, including Linux runtime services, communication layers, configuration handling, and developer tooling. You will improve APIs, support real-time processing and hardware integration, strengthen observability and recovery, and contribute to software architecture and standards.
Requirements
- Degree or equivalent training and professional experience in computer science, software engineering, or a related field
- 2 to 5 years of experience building production C++ systems
- Professional experience with modern C++17 or C++20
- Knowledge of Linux systems programming and TCP/IP and UDP networking
- Debugging skills using GDB, sanitizers, or similar tools
- Experience with multithreaded or concurrent programming
- Knowledge of maintainable software architecture and automated unit and integration testing
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain C++ platform infrastructure components
- Define and improve APIs and interfaces between robot applications, backend services, and hardware-facing components
- Contribute to real-time and near-real-time data processing pipelines
- Support integration with robotic hardware and investigate cross-system issues
- Improve error handling, observability, monitoring, and recovery mechanisms
- Contribute to software architecture decisions and technical standards
