About the Role
You'll join a paid 6-week piercing training program that combines classroom learning, observation, and hands-on training. The program kicks off at a training studio location, and once you graduate you'll be eligible for a Full Time Associate Piercer role at the King Street studio in Charleston, SC. Throughout your apprenticeship, you'll serve as a brand ambassador, guiding clients through the Studs experience with confident and professional communication. You'll become well-versed in piercing procedures and safety regulations, keep detailed records of maintenance and sterilized inventory, and hold yourself accountable to studio compliance and company policy. You'll be expected to deliver best-in-class service consistently, stay open to feedback, and travel to Los Angeles, CA for the duration of the training program, which is paid for by Studs.
Requirements
- 3 years of relevant work experience
- At least two years as a Medical Assistant or Phlebotomist preferred
- Must be available to work a flexible schedule up to 5 days per week (32+ hours), including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Weekend availability (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) required, excluding approved PTO
- Must pierce a minimum 18 appointments a day
- Must be able to visually inspect ear anatomy to execute advanced piercings
- Must be able to deliver piercings with a steady hand
- Must be able to lift 20 lbs
- Must be able to handle chemicals safely
- Travel to Los Angeles, CA for the duration of the training program (paid by Studs)
Responsibilities
- Educate clients on the Studs experience through the selling cycle
- Deliver confident, clear, and professional communication with clients
- Leverage Studs' resources and policies in decision making
- Become well-versed in piercing operating procedures and regulations
- Maintain detailed record keeping of maintenance, sterilized inventory and tools
- Prioritize studio compliance and accountability to standard operating procedures
- Provide best in class service to everyone in the studio
- Provide solutions-oriented feedback and remain open to receiving it
