About the Role

You will work with laboratories to automate experiments using Claude, from advising and prototyping through production implementation. You will develop evaluations and Model Hardware Standard capabilities, create reusable documentation, and represent Claude to scientific audiences across EMEA.

Requirements

• Experience connecting software to laboratory robots and instruments
• Experience with liquid handlers, plate readers, scheduling software, or LIMS
• Engineering skills to take LLM-powered tools from prototype to production
• Experience writing performance evaluations
• Understanding of scientific experiments and physical-world AI safety
• Experience working with external customers or partners in a technical role
• Written and verbal communication skills
• Documentation and public-speaking skills

Responsibilities

• Work with laboratories to automate experiments end to end with Claude
• Advise, prototype, and write production code for lab automation
• Drive product, engineering, and research direction from field experience
• Build evaluations for model limitations, capabilities, and safety in physical environments
• Develop Model Hardware Standard features
• Create reusable cookbooks, documentation, and other scalable assets
• Represent Claude to scientific audiences across EMEA
• Travel significantly
