About the Role

You will investigate AI and machine-learning ideas, design and run experiments, and evaluate results. You will turn research concepts into scalable implementations, prepare and present work at conferences and workshops, and provide clear technical reports. You will collaborate with researchers and silicon and software engineers to define, build, and test next-generation AI hardware.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree, PhD, or equivalent experience in a technical discipline.
  • Python programming experience with a modern deep-learning framework such as PyTorch or JAX.
  • Familiarity with deep-learning models, optimisation, evaluation, and scaling.
  • Ability to design, execute, and report on machine-learning experiments.
  • Lower-level programming experience for hardware efficiency, such as C++, CUDA, or Triton.
  • Practical familiarity with deep-learning hardware capabilities, including threads, caches, vector and matrix engines, data dependencies, bus widths, and throttling.
  • Practical familiarity with deep-learning software stacks, including compilation, kernel fusion, XLA or ATen operations, streams, and asynchronous execution.
  • Right to work in the United Kingdom.

  • Generate AI and machine-learning ideas, design experiments, implement them, and evaluate results.
  • Prepare, submit, and present work at AI conferences and workshops.
  • Provide technical insight through experiments and clear, actionable reports.
  • Collaborate with researchers, silicon engineers, and software engineers to define, build, and test next-generation AI hardware.
