About the Role
Partner with product teams to build industry-leading AI experiences such as the Notebook Agent. Drive Hex's context engine, improve SQL generation quality, use LLMs to evaluate agent threads, and ship production AI applications that help data scientists and analysts work more effectively.
Requirements
- Experience getting AI/ML capabilities into production and serving real users
- Enthusiasm for applying AI to real business problems
- Understanding of MLOps and software architecture concepts for modern ML applications
- Strength in infrastructure aspects of MLOps
- Comfort working in Python and JavaScript/TypeScript, with openness to both
- Experimentalist mindset with rapid iteration and critical thinking
- Interest in the data space and shipping high-quality products
- Experience maintaining high standards for design, correctness, and testing
- Senior-level engineering experience; not a new graduate role
Responsibilities
- Partner with product teams to build AI experiences such as the Notebook Agent
- Run experiments and fine-tune models
- Deploy AI infrastructure
- Build and maintain experimentation tooling
- Drive Hex's context engine and advance Notebook Agent capabilities
- Improve SQL generation quality
- Use LLMs to evaluate agent threads
- Build features and experiences from 0 to 1
- Help determine the architecture and stack for AI-enabled capabilities
- Ship product experiences for Data Scientists and Analysts
- Work on production AI applications
