About the Role
You'll partner with product teams to build industry-leading AI experiences such as the Notebook Agent. You'll run experiments, fine-tune models, deploy AI infrastructure, and build and maintain experimentation tooling. Your focus will be driving Hex's context engine and pushing forward the capabilities of the Notebook Agent, a highly technical data copilot that writes SQL and python, builds beautiful reports and visualizations, and collaborates with the analyst on new avenues of inquiry. You'll enable data teams to build highly accurate and curated data experiences for their stakeholders. As one of the team's early hires, you will build features and experiences from 0 to 1, partner on determining the architecture and stack for AI-enabled capabilities, ship product experiences that change how Data Scientists and Analysts operate, and work at the cutting edge of production AI applications. You'll have ample technical and team leadership opportunities depending on your interests.
Requirements
- Experience getting AI/ML capabilities into production and serving real users
- Enthusiasm for applications of AI to real business problems
- Understanding of core MLOps/SW Architecture concepts for modern ML-based applications
- Strong Infra aspects of MLOps
- Comfortable working in both Python & JS/TS
- Experimentalist mindset with quick iteration and critical thinking
- Interest in the data space and shipping great products
- Experience maintaining a high quality bar for design, correctness, and testing
Responsibilities
- Partner with product teams to build AI experiences such as the Notebook Agent
