Required and preferred rules are kept separate and reflect the wording in the original posting.

About the Role

Work with senior engineers and fellow interns to build AI tooling, API integrations, and proof-of-concept applications for Xsolla. The role emphasizes shipping production-facing work, using agentic coding tools, sharing weekly demos, and learning through mentorship.

Requirements

  • Genuine passion for building, demonstrated through side projects, hackathon entries, open-source contributions, or self-directed work
  • Real AI fluency using Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot, or similar agentic coding tools
  • Ability to explain how AI was used and how the result was confirmed to work
  • Bias toward action and willingness to start building before asking for a specification
  • Comfort developing modern full-stack solutions
  • Current undergraduate student, graduate student, or recent graduate in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related program

Responsibilities

  • Partner and collaborate with senior engineers to identify where AI tooling and integrations can remove friction, and build the fix
  • Build applications and integrations on top of Xsolla's APIs and SDKs
  • Ship work that reaches real users, whether internal tools or customer-facing integrations
  • Use agentic coding tools such as Claude Code or Cursor as the default way of working
  • Share weekly lightning-talk demos showing how AI was used to solve a problem
  • Work with minimal process, using context, a problem, and a mentor to figure out the rest
  • Learn from and collaborate with senior engineers and fellow interns

Hiring Process

No take-home assignments or formal problem sets. Applicants should provide a link to a GitHub profile, deployed project, or other work they have built, plus a 2–3 sentence written answer or a 2-minute video/Loom explaining something difficult they recently built and why they built it. The role also includes a background check covering criminal history, employment verification, and education verification.
