About the Role

You'll join the Contracts team where you'll process investment-related NDAs and transactional documents at a pace traditional law firms can't match. Reporting to a Supervising Attorney, you'll work alongside Carta's US lawyers and embedded AI agents to deliver high-volume contract work with speed and consistency. You'll own prompt intake and first-round markup of documents, support attorneys with drafting and ad hoc legal work, set up and coordinate client workflows, manage document portals, and drive contracts through to execution while holding a high quality bar under tight deadlines.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience recommended working within a transactional or corporate practice group, or an in-house commercial legal team
  • Hands-on exposure to commercial contracts and investment-related NDA drafting
  • Ability to thrive in high-volume deadline-driven environments and context-switch between competing demands
  • Strong grasp of relevant legal concepts and commercial pragmatism
  • Clear and concise written and verbal communication
  • Self-starter mindset with ability to spot inefficiencies and improve team operations
  • Exposure to private capital, fund structures, or investor onboarding workflows is a strong plus
