About the Role

You will manage contentious inquiries and lead pre-litigation and regulatory responses. You will communicate with and coordinate external counsel, draft and review court, arbitration, liaison and settlement documents, and provide formal legal opinions. You will analyze the legality of financial products, negotiate contracts across business lines, advise stakeholders on balanced risk strategies, and maintain corporate documentation while supporting the legal team.

Responsibilities

• Manage legal efforts in response to contentious inquiries including pre-litigious and regulatory matters
• Communicate with external counsel and negotiate with opposing parties
• Provide proactive commercially sensible legal advice and write formal legal opinions
• Analyze the legality of financial products
• Develop and implement legal strategies to reduce dispute risk while balancing business objectives
• Negotiate contracts for different business lines and support risk management projects
• Draft and review court, arbitration, liaison and settlement documents
• Partner with cross-functional and regional teams to provide legal support on complex matters
• Advise and implement solutions to address identified legal issues and take prudent risks
• Provide administrative support to manage corporate documents and other documentation
• Provide general overall support to the legal team
