About the Role
You will design, build, enhance, and integrate technology infrastructure for data center portfolios. You will govern site activities, enforce security and governance policies, identify risks, execute remediation plans, guide data center engineers, oversee hardware installations and decommissions, troubleshoot availability issues, and establish site operations standards.
Requirements
- 4+ years of technology infrastructure engineering and solutions experience or equivalent experience, training, military experience, or education
- 4+ years of data center experience
- Experience supporting enterprise-level technology
- Proficiency with server, storage, mainframe, and network hardware
- Proficiency with Layer 1 infrastructure design
- Knowledge of data center operations including space, power, cooling, and network
- Knowledge of IPv4 and IPv6 subnetting and VLAN technologies
- Verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Risk management experience in critical environments
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to work in a 24/7 environment
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds
Responsibilities
- Lead or participate in high-level technical concepts spanning technology and business
- Develop specifications for complex infrastructure systems
- Design and test infrastructure solutions
- Contribute to testing business, application, and technical infrastructure requirements
- Drive solutions to reduce recovery
- Review and analyze cloud security, secrets management, and key rotations
- Design, code, test, debug, and document programs using Agile practices
- Design complex system upgrades
- Resolve troublesome trends
- Develop long-range plans to prevent recurring problems
- Direct daily risk and control operations
- Collaborate with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues
