About the Role

You will secure and protect the company's infrastructure by managing and administering security technologies, platforms, and tools. You will investigate alerts, perform host-based and malware analysis, and coordinate incident response with stakeholders. You will build solutions to identify breach attempts, contain and eradicate threats, and streamline incident response processes. You will create custom SIEM queries and dashboards, develop detection logic, and produce incident analysis reports for management. You will work in a fast-paced environment with shift work, including occasional night shifts, while enjoying a healthy work-life balance.

Requirements

  • 4+ years experience in Incident Response or Cyber Security Operations Center
  • Experience managing low to high-risk cybersecurity events, alerts, and incidents
  • Experience collaborating with stakeholders to drive incident response and remediation
  • Development of runbooks for frequent or critical incident types
  • 3+ years working with security tools such as SIEM, Analytics & Intelligence, Intrusion Detection, Malware detection, Data Loss Protection, and Identity & Access Management
  • Solid understanding of system and security controls on at least two operating systems (Windows, Linux/Unix, MacOS)
  • Host-based forensics and OS artifact analysis experience
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (preferred)
  • Familiarity with cloud services, Kubernetes, and major cloud providers AWS, GCP, Azure (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Investigate alerts, triage, and develop action items and remediation plans
  • Perform host-based analysis, artifact analysis, and malware analysis in support of security investigations and incident response
  • Coordinate investigation, containment, and response activities with business stakeholders
  • Develop incident analysis and findings reports for management with gap identification and recommendations
  • Recommend or develop new detection logic and tune existing sensors and security controls
  • Work with security solutions owners to assess existing security solutions' ability to detect and mitigate TTPs
  • Create custom SIEM queries and dashboards to support monitoring and detection of advanced TTPs
