About the Role

You will own first-order and new-business analytics from end to end. You will partner with stakeholders to define questions, build datasets and analytical solutions, analyze sales performance, and translate findings into clear recommendations. You will use AI tools, dbt, Snowflake, SQL, Python, Tableau, and other appropriate tools to deliver scalable data models, queries, workflows, dashboards, reporting, and ad hoc analysis. You will manage project priorities and timelines, maintain high-quality sales data, and improve analytics processes, documentation, and standards.

Requirements

  • Experience in sales analytics and interpreting pipeline health, quota attainment, and forecast accuracy.
  • Proficiency with AI and business intelligence tools, including Tableau or a similar BI platform.
  • Skills in querying and transforming data with SQL and Python.
  • Experience with analytic engineering and selecting views, tables, or custom queries for long-term objectives.
  • Ability to manage projects and stakeholders and communicate findings to non-technical partners.
  • Experience supporting sales or go-to-market teams.
  • Familiarity with new business development, pre-sales, marketing, or small and mid-market sales processes.
  • Exposure to dbt, Snowflake, or comparable technologies and scalable reporting data structures.
  • Communication and documentation skills for an all-remote, asynchronous environment.
  • Openness to learning GitLab’s product, data model, and ways of working.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end first-order and new-business analytics work.
  • Determine whether legacy Tableau dashboards should be maintained, updated, or migrated to AI-based solutions.
  • Analyze first-order pipeline, new-business attainment, and sales metrics using SQL and Python.
  • Translate business needs into scalable analytical solutions and tools.
  • Maintain the quality, structure, and usability of sales data across Snowflake, dbt models, and other relevant data sources.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations, project timelines, priorities, trade-offs, and outcomes.
  • Align sales analytics with go-to-market and customer success metrics.
  • Improve analytics processes, documentation, and standards.
