Symmio is an intent-centric clearing and settlement layer for synthetic derivatives, operating on a peer-to-peer basis for bilateral OTC derivatives. In this system, both parties provide collateral. A user, referred to as Party A, sends an intent through a 3rd-party frontend. A Solver, or Party B, then accepts and executes this intent, creating a trade. This model facilitates symmetrical trading where for every long position, there is a corresponding short position, creating isolated pairs without the need for liquidity pools. Neutral Arbiters monitor trades to ensure solvency and rule adherence, liquidating any party that becomes insolvent to maintain a trustless and capital-efficient environment.
