About Tangem AG

Tangem is a Swiss-based company that provides a secure hardware wallet for managing digital assets. Their product, the Tangem Wallet, is a card-shaped device that contains a powerful, certified microchip (EAL6+) developed with Samsung Semiconductors. This chip generates a random, non-extractable private key offline, ensuring high security against hacking. The wallet supports thousands of cryptocurrencies and allows users to store, buy, sell, swap, and stake them through the Tangem app. The system is designed for simplicity, with a 3-minute setup and no need for batteries or charging. It features a smart backup system using multiple cards instead of a traditional seed phrase, although seed phrase import is also supported. The company emphasizes security with independent firmware audits by Kudelski Security and Riscure, and its app code is open-source on GitHub. Tangem aims to make self-custody accessible to a broad audience, from beginners to advanced crypto users.
