About the Role

You'll join our online medical support network of qualified specialists, supporting thousands of Australians with chronic conditions. You'll have the ability to work from home or from our office in Sydney, working the hours you want by taking open shifts that suit your schedule, with a minimum commitment of 15 hours a week. You'll conduct telehealth consultations, assess and diagnose patients, and prescribe medication where necessary, all while delivering prompt, empathetic and high quality clinical care.

Requirements

  • Australian Citizen / Australian Permanent Resident / Temporary Resident
  • PGY4+
  • Experience in General Practice Training, General Medical Terms/Rotations, Emergency Medicine, HDU/ICU/Critical Care, or Surgical terms
  • Ability to obtain a provider number to facilitate pathology testing only (no use of MBS attendance item numbers)
  • Valid medical indemnity insurance
  • Skilled at using technology to deliver care and communicate with patients
  • Ability to make timely and accurate referral decisions based on clinical expertise
  • Strong communication skills with patients, health professionals and team members

Responsibilities

  • Conduct telehealth consultations with patients, including assessing, screening, diagnosing and prescribing medication as necessary
  • Adhere to platform guidelines and policies and complete all required training
  • Provide an exceptional clinical experience for patients through prompt and empathetic care on the platform
