About the Role
You will carry out and document due diligence checks for new and existing customers, partners, and end clients through KYC and KYB processes. You'll create and update risk analyses and support the risk classification of end clients. You will evaluate and document AML, sanctions, and PEP checks, including transaction and sanctions screenings. You'll perform initial reviews of suspicious transactions related to anti-money laundering and terrorist financing prevention, and support the review of withdrawal cases, particularly those that are flagged, pending, or escalated. You will prepare case files for Senior KYC, Compliance, the anti-money laundering officer, or other internal escalation points, and communicate directly with partners and end clients on KYC, KYB, AML, and withdrawal matters. You'll prioritize and process customer and partner requests, especially time-critical or regulatory cases, and support the creation and improvement of processes, control plans, and measures within the department. You will coordinate cross-departmental communication on risk processes with Compliance, Digital Assets Operations, Tech, and Customer Operations. Be aware this role may involve planned shifts on Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays in Bavaria for time-critical customer projects, communicated in advance and in line with legal working time regulations.
Requirements
- Completed degree in business, law, finance, or a comparable qualification
- Advantageous: initial experience in KYC, AML, Compliance, Financial Services, FinTech, crypto assets, or customer service
- Advantageous: knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements on money laundering, sanctions, and financial services, such as GwG, MiCAR, EU Funds Transfer Regulation, FATF, or BaFin guidance
- Interest in digital assets, crypto assets, and regulated financial processes
- Analytical thinking and high attention to detail
- Structured, reliable, and independent way of working
- Good understanding of risk and the ability to identify and escalate critical cases in a timely manner
- Strong communication skills with internal and external contacts
- Very good German and English skills (at least C1 level each)
- Willingness to work planned shifts on Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays in Bavaria as needed
Responsibilities

- Coordinate cross-departmental communication on risk processes with Compliance, Digital Assets Operations, Tech, and Customer Operations
