Junior AML Analyst

About the Role

You will support the AML/CFT framework by performing transaction monitoring, reviewing system-generated alerts, and conducting KYC and source of funds checks. You will investigate suspicious activity, escalate high-risk cases, prepare SARs when required, produce regulatory and internal AML reports, and handle AML matters with counterparties.

Requirements

  • 1–2 years of experience in an AML or compliance role within a regulated financial services environment
  • CySEC AML Certification considered an advantage
  • Good understanding of AML/CFT laws and regulatory requirements
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Fluent in English and Greek (written and spoken)

Responsibilities

  • Support daily AML/CFT operations in line with internal policies and regulatory obligations
  • Perform transaction monitoring and review system-generated alerts
  • Conduct AML checks including KYC, source of funds, and client risk profiling
  • Investigate suspicious activity and escalate high-risk cases
  • Prepare Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) where required
  • Contribute to the AML monitoring programme and internal management reporting
  • Prepare regulatory and internal AML reports to support compliance with CySEC requirements
  • Assist in handling AML matters involving counterparties such as banks and PSPs
  • Stay informed on AML/CFT laws, regulations, and industry best practices
