About the Role
You will support the AML/CFT framework by performing transaction monitoring, reviewing system-generated alerts, and conducting KYC and source of funds checks. You will investigate suspicious activity, escalate high-risk cases, prepare SARs when required, produce regulatory and internal AML reports, and handle AML matters with counterparties.
Requirements
- 1–2 years of experience in an AML or compliance role within a regulated financial services environment
- CySEC AML Certification considered an advantage
- Good understanding of AML/CFT laws and regulatory requirements
- Strong analytical skills
- Problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Fluent in English and Greek (written and spoken)
Responsibilities
- Support daily AML/CFT operations in line with internal policies and regulatory obligations
- Perform transaction monitoring and review system-generated alerts
- Conduct AML checks including KYC, source of funds, and client risk profiling
- Investigate suspicious activity and escalate high-risk cases
- Prepare Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) where required
- Contribute to the AML monitoring programme and internal management reporting
- Prepare regulatory and internal AML reports to support compliance with CySEC requirements
- Assist in handling AML matters involving counterparties such as banks and PSPs
- Stay informed on AML/CFT laws, regulations, and industry best practices
