About the Role
You will act as the right hand to the COO, owning the master budget, building and maintaining the financial model, and tracking budget performance. You will manage cash flow and accounts payable, oversee contractor payments and payroll preparation, and produce weekly runway and burn reports. You will prepare financial data and projections for Series A investors, implement and automate financial processes, and support grant and contractor finance administration.
Requirements
- 3+ years experience in a startup or scale-up environment
- Familiarity with burn rate, runway, bridge financing, convertible notes, and ESOP
- Strong financial modeling skills and dashboard building
- Ability to turn messy data into clear actionable insights
- Direct and transparent communication style
- English working language and sufficient Czech for local authorities and institutions
- Detail oriented and able to work quickly
- Experience with hardware or R&D company finances is desirable
- Experience with grant financing is advantageous
