About the Role

You will own the end-to-end Dutch user experience, ensuring language quality, cultural relevance, content readiness, and a native-feeling local UX. You will lead localization projects, apply and evaluate AI-assisted localization workflows, maintain translation assets, collaborate with internal stakeholders and vendors, and turn customer, SEO, and market signals into improvements.

Requirements

• Native fluency in Dutch (nl-NL) and business proficiency in English.
• BA or equivalent in translation, linguistics, content marketing, communications, or a related field.
• Experience in Dutch translation, localization, or language quality assurance.
• Experience leading localization projects from inception to completion.
• Experience conducting localization reviews, testing, and language quality initiatives for the Dutch market.
• Hands-on experience with AI and LLM tools in localization workflows, including prompt design, output quality assurance, and post-editing.
• Proficiency with Translation Management Systems and Content Management Systems.
• Experience in creative translation and transcreation.
• Ability to adapt content for Dutch cultural context, register, tone, and sensitivity.
• Experience collaborating with product, design, content, engineering, marketing, and external vendors.
• Experience conducting market research, gathering customer feedback, and providing UI and UX insights.
• Experience assessing and managing language service providers.

Responsibilities

• Lead Dutch language quality initiatives, including localization reviews and UX testing.
• Apply and refine LLM prompts and AI workflows for localization quality, terminology consistency, and efficiency.
• Evaluate AI output quality, document prompt learnings, and flag issues.
• Connect localization output with content performance, SEO signals, user feedback, and market data.
• Partner with Product, Design, Content System, Engineering, Marketing, and SEO stakeholders.
• Lead Dutch localization projects from inception through delivery.
• Research, gather, and synthesize Dutch customer feedback.
• Assess and manage language service providers and freelancers.
• Maintain Dutch translation assets, including the style guide, glossary, and translation memory.
• Provide Netherlands market and competitor insights to inform strategic decisions.
• Ensure localized content follows global brand guidelines while maintaining an appropriate Dutch tone.
