About the Role

You will own assigned litigation matters, draft and negotiate commercial agreements, lead privacy and data protection compliance, respond to subpoenas and regulatory inquiries, advise on employment issues, support regulatory compliance including AML/KYC, and monitor international legal developments to reduce legal risk.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and active admission to the bar in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
  • Minimum of 4–6 years of legal experience, with significant in-house experience
  • Proven experience in commercial drafting, privacy law, and navigating financial or fintech regulations
  • Direct experience managing subpoenas and government requests
  • Experience with international law and cross-border regulatory frameworks
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills and ability to work autonomously
  • High level of professionalism, personal responsibility, and ethical judgment

Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, and negotiate complex commercial agreements
  • Lead privacy law compliance efforts (GDPR, CCPA/CPRA)
  • Manage responses to subpoenas, law enforcement requests, and regulatory inquiries
  • Advise on employment law matters and support hiring and employee relations
  • Provide legal guidance on financial regulations and AML/KYC requirements
  • Monitor international legal developments and advise on cross-border regulatory impact
  • Assist in managing legal risk and conduct legal research and training
