About the Role
You will support audiovisual and IT operations for events, conference rooms, coworking spaces, and workplace facilities. You will help staff and event organizers use AV equipment, keep video-call systems and devices functional, maintain livestreams and videos, perform basic network and security-camera maintenance, and keep equipment and server rooms organized.
Requirements
- Proficiency in audiovisual work, including video conferencing, audio system configuration, and basic event production
- Troubleshooting skills
- Organization and planning skills
- Experience with or willingness to learn TCP/IP networking, Dante, Extron, and audio/video recording formats
- Communication skills
- Ability to perform under pressure and meet strict deadlines
- Familiarity with or willingness to learn about entrepreneurship and the tech startup scene
- 1–3 years of related experience
- Ability to work onsite in Austin every day
- Commitment to the role for at least one year
Responsibilities
- Help staff and third-party event organizers use AV equipment
- Ensure Google Meet, Cisco Webex, and conference-room equipment function properly
- Maintain and organize event livestreams and videos
- Perform moderate manual labor, including moving tables and mounting TVs
- Assist the Workplace Team with operational tasks
- Read and interpret equipment specifications and service manuals
- Administer equipment
- Identify improvements to spaces and amenities
- Keep server rooms and peripherals stocked, tidy, and organized
- Troubleshoot printer issues
- Provide IT training to new hires
- Keep iPads, TVs, Sonos, and company computers functional and up to date
- Perform basic maintenance of network infrastructure and IP security camera systems
- Handle general workplace tasks and space and fixture needs
