About the Role

You will prepare and maintain accounting data for approximately 10–20 client engagements, reconcile portfolio and cash activity to source data, accrue fund expenses in accordance with GAAP, prepare investor allocations and fees, and produce quarterly NAV reporting. You will calculate capital calls and distributions, draft annual financial statements, coordinate year-end audits with clients and auditors, work with treasury to initiate wires, correspond with clients to resolve requests, maintain accurate time logs, identify and track inefficiencies, and demonstrate professionalism in all interactions.

Requirements

3+ years in fund accounting, public accounting, or other applicable position focused on closed-end private investment funds
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in accounting or finance
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
Strong written and verbal communication abilities
Practical experience working with cryptocurrency assets
CPA, CFA, or MBA credentials highly desirable

Responsibilities

Prepare and maintain accounting data for approximately 10-20 client engagements
Ensure all client deliverables are prepared accurately and timely
Reconcile portfolio and cash activity to source data
Accrue fund expenses timely and in accordance with GAAP
Prepare and review investor allocations and ensure fees and allocations are booked accurately
Prepare quarterly net asset value reporting for client engagements
Prepare capital call and distribution calculations for client engagements
Draft annual financial statements and coordinate year-end audit with client and independent auditors
Work with the treasury team to initiate wire transfers for clients
Correspond with clients daily and ensure requests are answered in a timely manner
Keep an accurate time log and maintain efficient work standards to ensure profitability of engagements
Identify and track inefficiencies caused by client issues or other matters and communicate challenges faced
Demonstrate integrity and professionalism in all interactions with clients and other members of the firm
