About the Role

You will design, build, and operate foundational data services including cloud data warehouses, data lakes, Airflow orchestration, Spark batch processing, Kafka streaming, time-series and graph databases, and real-time event stores. You will build data integration SDKs and self-service applications to manage and troubleshoot pipelines, implement end-to-end data security and observability (access control, data quality, cataloging, lineage, and usage auditing), and translate requests from analysts, ML, and security into reusable scalable patterns and data microservices for business platforms.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of software engineering experience
  • Strong backend development skills in Python, Go, or Java
  • Experience with data systems and data pipelines
  • Familiarity with scale-out, caching, key/value, and columnar design patterns
  • Proficiency with SQL, Airflow, and BI tools for operational data analysis
  • Ability to responsibly use generative AI tools and apply human-in-the-loop practices
  • Nice to have: crypto-forward experience including onchain activity familiarity (Ethereum, ENS, dApps)

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and operate foundational data-heavy services including cloud data warehouse, data lake, Airflow orchestration, Spark batch processing, Kafka streaming, query federation and caching, time-series databases, graph databases, and real-time event aggregation stores
  • Build and maintain data integration and process SDKs for internal services and product teams
  • Design and build self-service applications for users to manage and troubleshoot their data pipelines
  • Design and build services for end-to-end data security and observability, including access control, data quality tracking, cataloging, lineage, and usage auditing
  • Convert functional requests from data analysts, ML, and security and compliance into reusable and scalable patterns
  • Assemble data microservices into data platforms for critical business verticals and user cohorts
