About the Role
You will own the tax product lifecycle, build and operate the systems, vendor relationships, and processes that keep tax obligations accurate, compliant, and on time across every tax obligation from daily cost basis tracking through annual 1099 delivery and IRS filing. You will ensure tax operations scale reliably as the organization adds new asset classes, account types, and partner institutions. You will collaborate with Engineering, Operations, and Compliance to ensure upstream data ingestion and data architecture support tax requirements. You will design and implement monitoring and dashboards that provide real time visibility into filing statuses, error rates, and corrections.
Requirements
- Tax domain expertise in US brokerage tax reporting including 1099 production cost basis rules and IRS filing requirements
- Product management or technical program management experience in fintech brokerage or financial infrastructure
- Vendor management experience with third party tax or financial technology vendors
- Cross functional leadership across Engineering Operations Compliance and Legal
- Technical fluency with data systems and file formats such as IRS schemas and FIRE format
- Strong communication and stakeholder management
Responsibilities
- Own the tax product lifecycle from ideation to delivery across IRS and state reporting
- Drive the product roadmap for tax reporting including timelines criteria and quality gates for on time filings
- Vendor management to own relationships with tax technology vendors and ensure performance
- Meet critical tax deadlines by coordinating cross functional teams and maintaining calendars
- Scale tax infrastructure to support new asset classes and account types including multi entity structures
- Partner with core engineering to ensure upstream data ingestion and data architecture supports tax needs
- Design and launch internal monitoring tools and dashboards for real time filing status and corrections
