About the Role
In this role you will provide strategic legal guidance and hands on support with regulatory compliance and risk management. You will draft review and negotiate contracts and other critical documents you will advise on regulatory risks for product development and you will ensure compliance across key markets including Hong Kong and the UK You will manage relationships with external advisers and regulators and oversee disputes.
Requirements
- Qualified lawyer with admission to practice in Hong Kong, the UK, or equivalent jurisdiction.
- 3+ years of legal experience, preferably within fintech, financial services, or technology sectors.
- Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks applicable to fintech and payments in Hong Kong and the UK.
- Proven experience drafting and negotiating complex commercial agreements.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- High ethical standards and professional integrity.
Responsibilities
- Provide legal advice and support on a wide range of commercial agreements, regulatory matters, and corporate governance issues.
- Lead and manage relationships with external legal advisers and regulators.
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations across key markets including Hong Kong and the UK.
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and other legal documents critical to business operations.
- Support product development by advising on regulatory risks and legal requirements.
- Manage legal risks and develop policies to promote legal and regulatory compliance within the organisation.
- Oversee dispute resolution and manage any legal proceedings as necessary.
